In a major relief to the class 12 National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and state open school students, the centre has decided to revert the Medical Council of India (MCI) decision which prevented them from appearing in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). According to a news report published on The New Indian Express, sources in Health Ministry told the daily that a decision had been taken in favour of the students after the Ministry of Human Resource Development opposed the move. An official notification in this regard is awaited. According to the daily, HRD Ministry told the Health Ministry that the MCI order was against the government policy on equal learning and career opportunities for open school students. "On many occasions, when students fail the Class XII boards or get a compartmental in one or more subjects, they choose open school to clear their boards. It won't be justified if they are denied the opportunity to take the NEET," and HRD official told The New Indian Express.

Most essential things a coaching institute must have...

This might sound cliché but true to honesty. Any institution should have a purpose which one may technically be called as "vision". For example if you look at leading institution like CONCEPTREE Learning the vision is" to be the first choice for aspirants who target academic excellence exams like JEE/NEET/Olympiads"

There should be a clear plan on paper to realise this vision in the form of mission statement.

A robust process for academic delivery, faculty acquisition, student sourcing in place supported by an able team is a must to achieve success in the domain.

Last but not least, since it is a technical field, the importance of learning resources like quality material, researched question papers is going to be a key differentiator for you. If you look at any organisation in top league like CONCEPTREE Learning, we spend about 50 man strength in this domain every year.

Confidence from management team in terms of the belief in vision, trust in mission path and people is going to be key difference between an organisation that succeeds and others. At CONCEPTREE Learning, being an initiative by IIT Alumni we probably stand strong on this front as well.

In the end please don't forget that , "Devil lies in implementation". An organisation that wants to see quality systems to evolve in JEE and NEET training space especially in Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala CONCEPTREE has been at the forefront in sharing our advisory with upcoming institutions and start-ups. We believe in healthy competition and for more information about CONCEPTREE Learning management, please visit our website www.conceptreelearning.com
